After 16 years serving North Raleigh, Neuse Valley Internal Medicine will be closing 9/15/23. A lot has changed in the landscape of medicine over those years, and it has become very difficult to maintain an independent private practice. Although we have greatly enjoyed caring for you over that time, the business side of the practice has become unworkable. We will continue to provide medical care through that date, and do all we can to make this transition as smooth as possible for you.
Dr. Peele will be seeing patients through 8/30/23. She plans to remain in Primary Care medicine, but is still working out the details of her next practice.
Dr. Anderson and Elsa Bagnulo FNP are planning to join the Wake Forest office of Wake Med Primary Care. They will be available to see patients starting at the end of October.
Natalie Adams FNP will likely be joining the staff of the VA in Raleigh.
After closing, your medical records will be transferred to Morgan Records Management. They will maintain your records in accordance with all applicable confidentiality and security standards. Your records will be held for at least 7 years after the practice has closed. If you wish to have a copy of your records sent to you or another facility, you may request this from Morgan Records Management after the date of closing. Requests can be made:
Online: MorganRecordsManagement.com -> Patient record requests -> Request my medical records
Email: [email protected]
Please note:
In accordance with applicable state law, you may be charged for the copying and transmittal of the records.
There may be a short transition period from when we close the practice to when Morgan Records Management has access to our charts.
Again, we have enjoyed providing medical care for you over the years, and appreciate the confidence you have shown in us.
Update on office closing
We are trying to make sure everyone has a few months of refills on their meds to make it through the transition. If you are going to be running out of refills within the next 3 months, please send us a refill request (or have the pharmacy send it for you).
If you are following Dr. Anderson to Wake Forest:
a. No permission is required, you just need to make an appt at the new office.
b. They will not load his schedule into the computer until after he completes computer training, so you will not be able to schedule an appt until late October/early November.
c. You do NOT need to request your medical records (Dr. Anderson will maintain access to your records).
